Fragmented authoritarianism and climate governance: The case of Hangzhou

主讲人简介:
Professor Delman focuses on China’s state-society interaction and its consequences for China’s political system. He started studying China in 1972, he has lived and worked in China from 1983-1986 and from 1991-2006. He has worked extensively with international development assistance to China between 1983 and 2011, when he last worked as a process consultant for the National Renewable Energy Centre under the National Energy Agency in Beijing. He has been Director of the China-EU Center for Agricultural Technology in Beijing (1991-1996), of the Private Sector Development Department in RAMBOLL (Denmark) (1998-2001) and of NIAS-Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (2002-2009). He is the co-founder of the think tank, ThinkChina.dk, at University of Copenhagen. Over the years, he has studied state-farmer and state-private business relations and is now focusing on climate change politics and urban development.
