Brief introduction:
Markets for agricultural output in China have become highly integrated, but rural households are still facing major bottlenecks in credit, insurance, land and labour markets. Elimination of these factor market imperfections can provide a major contribution to rural development and the reduction of rural-urban inequalities. This presentation examines the impact of agricultural and rural development policies under prevailing factor market imperfections. Meanwhile, it also discusses some ways forward to improve the quantitative analysis of rural development and factor market imperfections in China.

中国的农产品贸易已经基本市场化且产品市场的整合也基本完成。但是农户仍然在贷款、保险、土地和劳动力市场等方面受到制约。消除这些不完善的要素市场的限制，将有利于中国的农村发展和城乡差距的缩小。讲座致力于分析当前要素市场不完善情况下农村和农业政策造成的影响。同时，也将从研究的角度探讨一些定量研究方法的改进。
