Martin Skitmore, professor in the School of Urban Development, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He graduated from University of Salford, receiving his master’s degree and PhD in there. Besides, he held a concurrent post as a visiting professor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Department of Building and Real Estate in Hong Kong, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Malaysia and University of Talca in Chile, at a same time, taking the role as a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Charted Institute of Building (CIOB) and International Council for Building Research Studies and Documentation (CIB).
Prof. Skitmore is a well-known international expert in construction management. His research interests include construction management, quantitative analysis and future forecasting. Up to now, he has published more than 100 papers on SSCI / SCI, 4362 times cited and H-index as high as 35.
Senior Lecturer Bo XIA, School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He received his bachelor and master’s degree of engineering in Zhejiang University. After that, he went to Hong Kong Polytechnic University and got his PhD of philosophy with 4 years of study. His research interests mainly focus on project procurement management (Design-build), green/sustainable buildings, construction management and aging workforce/skill shortage in construction industry.
Over the last 11 years, he successively took the role of a lecturer at Zhejiang Science and Technology University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in China, and Queensland University of Technology in Australia where he was promoted to a senior lecturer in 2014.XIA is a outstanding young scholar who has presented 71 papers and has won over 7 awards/honors for his academic contribution.
