Ruth Kattumuri is Co-Director of India Observatory and an Associate with the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics (LSE). She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, UK. With over twenty-five years of experience in higher education, research and public policy, she has pioneered several innovative international research, training and capacity building programmes. Her current research, publications and policy engagement pertain to sustainable and inclusive growth and development. She is advisor to various institutions in Europe and Asia and is actively engaged in promoting south-south co-operation. She has a PhD from LSE and is also a Cambridge Commonwealth Fellow. Prior to joining the LSE, she was a Professor in Statistics and Computer Science in Madras, India.
