主讲人简介
Kevin Boyack
Dr. Kevin Boyack is President of SciTech Strategies, Inc. He has been with the company since summer of 2007. Previously he spent 17 years at Sandia National Laboratories where he worked in various areas including combustion (experimental and modeling), transport processes, socio-economic war gaming, and science mapping. Since joining SciTech his work has centered on developing more accurate global maps of science. He has published over 30 articles dealing with various aspects of science mapping and related metrics. Current interests include detailed mapping of the structure and dynamics of science, technology and altruism, merging of multiple data types and sources, identification and prediction of emerging topics, and development of advanced metrics.
Rodrigo Costas Comesaña
Dr. Rodrigo Costas Comesaña is an experienced researcher in the field of information science and bibliometrics. With a PhD in Library and Information Science obtained at the CSIC in Spain, Rodrigo has been working at CWTS (Leiden University, the Netherlands) since 2009. His lines of research cover a broad scope of topics, including the development of new bibliometric tools and indicators as well as tools for the study of research activities based on quantitative data, having a particular focus on the analysis of individual scholars through bibliometric methodologies. Rodrigo has recently started some novel research lines at CWTS including the study of ‘altmetrics’ and the possibilities of funding acknowledgments in order to expand the analytical possibilities of scientometrics. At CWTS Rodrigo also coordinates several projects for different scientific organizations worldwide.
Wolfgang Glänzel
Prof. Wolfgang Glänzel is Director of the Centre for R&D Monitoring (ECOOM) and Full Professor at KU Leuven. He is also affiliated with the Dept. Science Policy & Scientometrics at the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest (Hungary).
Wolfgang Glänzel studied mathematics at the Eötvös Lorand University (ELTE) in Budapest. He holds a doctorate in mathematics from ELTE as well as a PhD in the Social Sciences from Leiden University (Netherlands).
He worked about twenty years at the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and he was Alexander von Humboldt Fellow for two years in Germany. Since 2002 he works and lives in Leuven (Belgium). ''
Wolfgang Glänzel has published about 400 journal articles, proceedings and book chapters and co-authored/edited several books.
In 1999 he received the international Derek deSolla Price Award for outstanding contributions to the quantitative studies of science.
He is the Secretary-Treasurer of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) and Editor-in-Chief of the Society’s Newsletter.
Wolfgang Glänzel is Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Scientometrics since 2014 and Academic Editor of the multidisciplinary OA journal PLOS ONE since 2013. In 2014 he was identified as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Social Sciences,
Ronald Rousseau
Prof. Ronald Rousseau was President of the ISSI (International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics, 2007-2015), and guest researcher of KU Leuven. He got his doctor degree both in Mathematics (Leuven University) and Library and Information Science (Antwerp University). He is the Recipient of the Price of the Belgian Academy of Science (1979), and the recipient of the Derek J. de Solla Price in 2001. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Data and Information Science (JDIS), and the member of the editorial board of Journal of Informetrics, Scientometrics, etc. He is a highly cited researcher (Thomson Reuters) = top 1% in the field of Informetrics. He has an h-index of 30 and a total of 218 publications in the Web of Science, among which 74 are written with Chinese colleagues.
