Short Bio
Dr.Wenrong Qian is Professor of Economics and PhD Supervisors at Zhejiang University. He is also Vice Dean of the School of Management and Deputy Director of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD). He has been funded as one New Century Excellent Talent in University by the program from Chinese Ministry of Education.
Dr. Qian received his B.A. and M.A. from Zhejiang Agricultural University and his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 1999. His research is focused on: (i) Migration and Rural Urbanization (ii) Land Economy and Management (iii) Theory and Policy of Agricultural economics. Qian received Award of Chinese rural development, West Lake City Science Award, Award for Research Achievements in the Humanities and Social Sciences from Chinese Ministry of Education, and First Prize for Distinguished Achievement in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Zhejiang Province. Qian has published more than 60 journal papers, of which most are of high quality. He is also co-author of 5 books.
