CHEN Darou

Chen Darou, male, born in January 1958 in Jiangsu Jingjiang and graduated from Department of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University in 1982. Chen is currently a professor of School of Public Affairs of Zhejiang University, the deputy director of the Center of Research in Enterprise Development of Zhejiang University, the deputy director of Research Center for Chinese Organization Development and Performance Evaluation and a visiting scholar of the University of Tokyo. Prof. Chen is mainly engaged in teaching and research of many aspects such as Leadership Development, Management Psychology, Science and Technology Aesthetics, Science & Education Management and Innovation, Brand Strategy and Planning, etc. He has published dozens of books covering Public Management, Philosophy, Education and Literature, such as “Japanese Local Government Administration”. Concluding achievement of the national social science fund project hosted by Prof. Chen, which is titled “Aesthetic Creation of Science and Art”, was selected into the "Zhejiang University academic boutique archive". Another book produced large repercussions at home and abroad because of “full of poetic elaborate both emotional and reasonable and philosophically aphoristic statement” and won national awards, for instance, “Golden Key” of the Second National Excellent Books Rating. The book published by him as one of the chief authors was evaluated as “filling the gaps in the research both internal and international with the pioneering contribution”. In speaking of enterprise management and planning experience, Prof. Chen has made creative designs of enterprise culture and image and Promotion Plans for many famous enterprises, such as Eastern Communications, Zhejiang Haina, Shuaikang Group, West Cold Group, Minsheng Pharmaceutical Enterprise, Kong Fengchun, Metersbonwe, Shunyu Group and so on, as well as presided over the writing of the "Zhejiang University 12th Five-Year Cultural Construction Plan."
