Short Bio
Li Jingsong has been associate professor at the Department of Sociology of Zhejiang University since 2015, in succession to a position as assistant professor since 2013 at the same department. She did her PhD at Communication and Innovation Studies Group and Plant Breeding Group at Wageningen University of the Netherlands in 2012, and her MS in Environmental Sociology at the Environmental Policy Group in 2004 (Wageningen University). From 2004-2010, she worked as a senior research assistant at the Centre for Chinese Agricultural Policy, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her main fields of expertise are globalization and sustainability of agri-food system, intellectual property rights (IPR) and access and benefit-sharing (ABS) mechanisms in relation to food and agriculture. She has published in the fields of agriculture, food, agrobiodiversity conservation and rural development from the angles of sociology, technology, action researching and system innovations. She is currently involved in research projects on alternative food networks, geographical indication protection over agri-food products, and community-based (in situ) conservation of agrobiodiversity.
