YAO Xianguo

Yao Xianguo, Distinguished Professor of Economics, is the head of Public Policy Research Institute of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang University, Vice Director of Academic Committee at Zhejiang University. His research is primarily focussed on Labor Economics, Human Capital Investment, Public Policy and Transition Economics. On these topics, he has published over 100 papers in domestic and international academic journals, as well as more than 10 academic books. His claims that property relation is the essence of labor relations and labor property right is the theoretical foundation for protecting the rights and interests of labor, although criticized by scholars and public administrators earlier, are now recognized by Chinese academic leaders in the field and have become official and shared consensus.
