Journal of Chinese Governance, sponsored by the School of Public Affairs and the Institute of Social Governance of Zhejiang University, has been selected as one or more citation indexes in many sub-bases of Clarivate's Web of Science, including Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Social Sciences, Essential Science Indicators, Current Contents/ Social and Behavioral Sciences, among others.

Journal of Chinese Governance is an English journal under Routledge. It was founded in 2016 and was selected into ESCI in 2017. According to the publishing tradition in political science and public administration, all the publications from this journal must be anonymously reviewed. Besides publishing original academic researches, this journal also issues special columns and book reviews on the emerging topics in the field of governance. As the only English journal on China Governance in China, its editorial committee brings together the most renowned political scientists, public management scientists, and governance theory experts at home and abroad.
