The 2020 Academic Annual Meeting of School of Public Affairs Zhejiang University was Successfully Held

The academic annual meeting of School of Public Affairs Zhejiang University was initiated by its Professor Committee, to create a good academic atmosphere for teachers to communicate with each other, explore outstanding academic achievements, and promote better and faster development of the School. On December 25th, 2020, the 2nd Academic Annual Meeting of School of Public Affairs Zhejiang University was held in Yuanzheng Qizhen Hotel, and was hosted by Professor Wang Shizong, Chairman of the School's Professor Committee.

Professor Li Shi, a distinguished Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences in the School, delivered an opening speech. He suggested that the academic annual meeting has built a platform for interdisciplinary exchanges, which is conducive to the development of each discipline, and at the same time builds an atmosphere of mutual learning.

Annual reports are given by Professor Peter Ho from the Department of Land Resources Management, Professor Mi Hong from the Department of Social Security and Risk Management, Associate Professor Wu Jinqun from the Department of Government, Associate Professor Cao Yu from the Department of Land Resources Management, Lecturer Fu Huizhen from the Department of Information Resources Management, Researcher of Hundred Talents Program Lin Wen from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Management, Researcher of Hundred Talents Program Shao Li from the Department of Political Science, Distinguished Research Associate Ma Gaoming from the Department of Social Security and Risk Management, and Postdoctoral Researcher Zhang Tong from the Department of Information Resources Management. The nine reports respectively focused on the property ownership in China, pattern identification in the development of China's population aging and systematic simulation of its social security policy optimization, the public participation in China's administrative division reform, rural landscape services and its sustainable development, ethical governance of research, analysis of the technical feasibility of the comprehensive utilization of carbon technology in agriculture from a market demand side perspective, public opinion barriers to China's expansive foreign policy, social capital, resilience and mental health of high school students during epidemics, and information dissemination efficiency of Chinese governmental new media in major public health emergencies.

A new one-to-one commentary session was added in this annual meeting, and excellent comments on the reports were made by Professor Chen Zhigang from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Management, Professor Liu Tao from the Department of Social Security and Risk Management, Professor Cao Zhenghan from the Department of Government, Professor Zhou Ping from the Department of Information Resources Management, Professor Yue Wenze from the Department of Land Resources Management, Professor Shi Xiaoqin from the Department of Political Sciences, Lecturer Fu Huizhen from the Department of Information Resources Management, and Researcher of Hundred Talents Program Yan Zhen from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Management.
