Sponsored by the school of Public Affairs Zhejiang University and organized by MPA Education Center Zhejiang University, “Zhejiang University MPA Education Summit Forum” was successfully held on 27 August, 2022 in Hangzhou. With the theme of “Independent Cultivating High-quality and Innovative Public Administration Professional Talents”, the forum discussed the current situation and development trend of MPA education, as well as the new paths of cultivating Chinese public administration professional talents.
The forum was conducted in the form of a combination of online and offline. Present at the forum were member of National MPA Education Steering Committee, deans of the public administration schools of domestic major colleges, subject leaders, director of MPA Education Center, MPA alumni from Zhejiang University and other attendants.
After the opening ceremony, the forum stuck to the point and organized a number of agendas, including keynote speech, roundtable forum, alumni development forum & mission vision discussion, etc.
The forum’s first keynote speech was entitled “Discipline Construction and Professional Talent Cultivation of Chinese Public Administration in the New Era”, which was hosted by Prof. Zhao Zhirong, dean of school of Public Affairs Zhejiang University. The second keynote speech, titled “Practical Paths for Independent Cultivation of Chinese Public Administration Professional Talents”, was hosted by Prof. Qian Wenrong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice dean of School of Public Affairs ZheJiang University. The third keynote speech, themed “Towards High-quality Development of Chinese Public Administration Professional Talents”, was presided by Prof. Zhang Weiwen, vice dean of School of Public Affairs Zhejiang University.
The roundtable forum was themed “Teaching Reform and Innovation in the Cultivation of Public Administration Professional Talents”, and was presided by Prof. Gao Xiang, vice dean of School of Public Affairs and director of MPA Education Center Zhejiang University.
