On March 28th, 2023, Elsevier released the 2022 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers. The data is extracted by Elsevier’s optimized and updated system matching to the first-level discipline classification of the Ministry of Education (covering 111 disciplines), which showcases the academic ecosystem relevant to the Chinese disciplines and scientific achievements of Chinese scholars in a more direct, precise and reasonable manner. The list will play a big part in evaluating the citation and making more outstanding scholars in subdivided areas better known by the public.
The 2022 list obtains 5,216 Chinese scholars from 504 universities, enterprises, and scientific research institutions, covering 10 fields of disciplines and 84 first-level disciplines of the Ministry of Education.
A total of 37 scholars in public affairs are listed, of which, 8 are from our school, namely Professor YUE Wenze, Associate Professor FU Huizhen, Professor GU Xin, Professor ZHOU Ping, Professor Peter Ho, Professor MIAO Qing, Tenured Professor TAN Rong and Professor WU Yuzhe.
